I have 66 8th graders in my classes. 26 of them have serve served at least one out of school suspension (all well-warranted—drugs, vaping, fighting) this year. Five others have left the school for various reasons, all of whom served suspensions. That would make 31 out of 71. Jesus, have mercy.
